‘Vote democratic’

To the editor:

Early in my career my boss at the time, a Mormon, and I, a Jew, traveled to Japan. Our Japanese colleagues wondered why there were so many religions in America. The answer is in the Constitution’s first amendment: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof. Thomas Jefferson termed that clause a wall between church and state. This November vote democratic and for President Biden so that the wall between church and state remains strong and our nation’s religious diversity continues to flourish.
