Leland Township sewer users will have to pay a little more per month after action this week by the Leland Township Board.
The board voted 4-0 Tuesday, with Clerk Lisa Brookfield absent, to increase sewer rates by 8.9%. It is the first rate hike since 2017.
“Since that time all costs have gone up,” said Steve Patmore, sewer administrator. “We’ve had to dig into our reserves the past couple years…
