Barbara Ciolek

1951 ~ 2024

Barbara (Bobbie) Jean Ludka Ciolek, lovingly known as “Nana”, was born on July 5th, 1951 in Traverse City, Michigan died on March 23rd, 2024 after a short battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband, Mark, her son Todd (Kelly), her daughter Jennifer (Chris Girard), her sister Linda Dell (Jerry), and her grandchildren Jackson, Connor, Nora, and Oscar Ciolek. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Ludka and Marie Ludka Campbell, and her brother, Donald Ludka.

Samuel Johnson said, “To be happy at home is the ultimate result of all ambition.” With that in mind: go looking for morels with family, attend kids and grandkids events, be on the water, follow up any adventure, love with all your heart, hug often the ones you love, and give unselfishly. These are the thoughts and actions that Barb lived by.
