Georgetta was born on January 28, 1941 in Saginaw to the late Edward and Florence (Phillips) Nowlin.

While working on a cherry farm one summer, she was noticed by a handsome young man by the name of Tony Galla. He spotted her beautiful copper colored hair and the rest as they say is history. Faith was also very important to Georgetta. They were members at Holy Rosary since the early 60’s and she enjoyed membership in the Rosary Society, singing in the choir and loved helping with the decorations.

She also worked in the pie room for the annual chicken dinner for over 40 years.
