The Leelanau County Road Commission is getting ready to strengthen the bridge on County Road 651 over Victoria Creek, just north of Cedar. The Old Indian Trail and surrounding area in Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore (SBDNL) is closed due to invasive hemlock woolly adelgid. An up and coming small company based in Leelanau County launched their first products just this past month: Quince hot sauce and quince ketchup.
