Glen Lake welcomed Suttons Bay to town on Tuesday in a 69-52 defeat. Laker sophomore Jacob Plamondon couldn’t be stopped as he had a double-double with 31 points, 10 rebounds.

A slow Leland girls basketball (4-3, 2-3) start allowed Benzie Central to hold off the Comets 36-29 last Thursday. “A slow start allowed Benzie to be able to convert both in transition and with their outside shooting, which had us playing from behind right from the start of the game,” Leland coach Ryan Knudsen said.

Suttons Bay boys basketball got back on track Tuesday night as the Norsemen braved the conditions and traveled down to Cadillac Heritage. The Norsemen had themselves a game, winning 71-56 in the second of back-to-back games.

Suttons Bay junior Grayson Opie earned this week’s Enterprise athlete of the week after leading the Norsemen to a bounce back win over Cadillac Heritage on Tuesday. Opie managed nearly a triple- double with 8 points, 7 rebounds, and 10 blocks.

GL grads play at Ferris State
There was a homecoming for Glen Lake graduates Maddie and Grace Bradford, Xander Okerlund, and Reece Hazelton as they all met on the basketball court earlier this month when Lake Superior State University traveled to Ferris State on Jan. 6 for a GLIAC showdown.
