The chair of the Benzie-Leelanau District Board of Health is praising a decision this week by the Leelanau County Board of Commissioners to move forward with creation and enforcement of a countywide septic system inspection ordinance.
“It has worked extremely well for Benzie County for the last 30 years,” said Dr. Barb Conley of Northport, chair of the two-county health department board.
