Rose Mary Schmidtke
Rose Mary Schmidtke of Northport Michigan and Treasure Island Florida, passed away peacefully in her sleep age 85. She lived a full life, marked by the love and joy she brought to those around her. Rose Mary was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, whose legacy will live on through her family.
She is survived by her three devoted children, four adoring grandchildren, and two precious great-grandchildren, who will continue to honour her memory by embodying the values and faith she instilled in them.
A private ceremony will be held in her honour in Northport MI in July, where family and friends will gather to share memories and celebrate the life of a remarkable woman who was loved by many. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Rose Mary’s favourite charity, St Jude’s.
Rose Mary grew up in Green Bay Wisconsin where she met her husband, and love of her life, David Schmidtke. Together they raised three children and travelled the world. It is a comfort to know that Rose Mary and David are together again enjoying each other’s love and companionship in the next chapter of life.
“Though her smile is gone forever, and her hand we cannot touch, We still have many memories of the one we loved so much. Her memory is our keepsake, with which we’ll never part, God has her in his keeping, we have her in our heart.”
Her spirit of generosity and compassion will forever be remembered.Rest in peace, dear Rose Mary. You will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
