Mary “Lynn” Sparling of Northport, Michigan, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2024 at the age of 84. Lynn was a Leap-Year baby who recently celebrated her 21st birthday on February 29, this year. Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Lynn was the youngest girl of eight siblings. Her mother, Helen Kushner, raised the children while her father, John Kushner, worked as a chemist for Cadillac Motors. In the early 1960’s, Lynn and her sister Deanna Kushner Butterfield, met their respective husbands, John S. Sparling and Clark Butterfield on a ski trip at the Caberfae ski resort near Cadillac, Michigan. The two couples and their families celebrated many, many holidays together and remained best friends for decades. Lynn worked in the accounting department of Campbell-Ewald for several years before she and John were married on May 23, 1964. Then they moved to Rosedale Park in Detroit, where their daughter, Elizabeth (Brennan), was born in 1969. Lynn and John moved to 1940 - 2024

Patricia A. McMahon-Eichenlaub, 76, of Northport died December 19, 2023 at her home. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 10 at St. Gertrude Church in Northport. CEDAR – David Anthony Mikowski, Jr., age 48, passed away after a brief illness on Saturday, April 20, 2024, in his home in Greensboro, North Carolina, where he resided for nine years. Born on July 28, 1975, in Northport, Michigan, David was the son of David Mikowski, Sr., and Shirley (Fleis) Mikowski.

SUTTONS BAY- Elinor Ann Swenson, 74, of Suttons Bay, passed away on April 26, 2024, at Munson Medical Center. Born on October 26, 1949, in Dayton, Ohio, she was the beloved daughter of Richard and Harriet (Beckwith) Wenzel.

Cass Sheffield Hough, Jr. (Kit), was born on May 16, 1932 in Ann Arbor, MI to Margaret Reid and Cass Sheffield Hough. Kit passed away on April 24th, 2024 in Kalamazoo, MI.

Died April 18, 2024 SUTTONS BAY – Michael Allen Shackleton, 83, of Suttons Bay, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2024, just five days short of his 84th birthday. He was at home with his family by his side.
