The community of Cedar is still reeling from a violent assault last week in which one family member attacked her own kin. Bailey K. Rosinski, 25, and her accomplice, Justin Bembeneck, 33, are held on $1 million bond, accused of multiple felonies including attempted murder. According to the criminal complaint, Rosinski and Bembeneck entered the home of Francis and Helen Rosinski just before 8 p.m. Thursday. Law enforcement officials allege in search of money for drugs. *** The Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians is continuing to expand its economic development efforts beyond casino gaming and this week announced its acquisition of a steel fabrication firm in Charlevoix. The firm, Bay Shore Steel Works, is described in a tribal news release as a “fullservice component manufacturer and finisher with the capability to process components from raw plate to painted weldment or assembly.” 01/17/2024 04:38 PM
