Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is busting at its seams following its latest acquisition, two Miller Hill parcels that would have been seen for miles had they been developed. The Lakeshore purchased the properties, which total 8.66 acres and required what is termed a “minor boundary adjustment,” for $685,000 from the Leelanau Conservancy. 12/06/2023 05:33 PM

A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request for all records relating to a survey of employees about the climate of workplace in the county building will be costly to produce. Holiday school performances abundant this season
Elementary and high school students throughout Leelanau County have been practicing for the last several months to showcase their musical talents in holiday concerts starting this week. GLEN LAKE Rob Stow, Glen Lake performing arts coordinator and choir director, is leading the upper elementary general music and secondary choirs, while Jeremy Evans, who heads the elementary and middle school performing arts, is leading the preschool through third grade general music this season. 12/06/2023 05:33 PM
