GL POP Warner host Jamboree event Saturday
Nearly 60 Glen Lake youth football players flew the American flag proud during a “Salute to Service” Jamboree against Harbor Spring Saturday. The Laker youth football team finished the season undefeated in 2024 for both the 3rd-4th grade team and the 5th-6th team.Glen Lake youth football participates in a league hosted by YMCA of Traverse City.

SB beats Mesick; playoff hopeful
Suttons Bay defeated Mesick 43-0 in a blowout game, which could be the last game of the season for the Norsemen as the regular season finale opponent Engadine canceled for Friday’s game. The Norsemen beat Mesick in all aspects of the game Friday, especially in the trenches, where Norsemen blocker had their way opening holes for runners.

Glen Lake football (7-1) traveled to Ferris State University Friday for a non-conference matchup against Saginaw Valley Lutheran (4-5). The Lakers ran away with the game at the end to come away with a 32-13 win.
