Lakers defeat Bellaire
Glen Lake boys basketball defeated Bellaire 65-49 behind a dominant offensive and defensive performance in the regional final Thursday, March 7. The Lakers started on fire and held the lead from the first to the last whistle to capture its first regional title since 2018.

Norte Youth Cycling Gears Up for Spring
Norte Youth Cycling, a nonprofi t organization dedicated to empowering youth through cycling, is excited to host its Spring Tune-Up event at Carson Square in Traverse City on Thursday, April 4 from noon to 4 p.m. This free, family-friendly event is for residents of Carson Square, a low-income community supported by Goodwill Northern Michigan.

Tennis programs still available
Kristen Wilson at Leelanau Love Tennis programs is welcoming middle school students of all skills levels to join at Herman Park in Suttons Bay on March 16, 21, 23, and 28 for tennis lesson of all skill levels from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. This session is also open to fifth graders who have participated in at least one session of after school tennis or summer tennis. Practices will be on Tuesdays and match play will be on Thursday and cost $65.
