Shirley Jean Scott Roth , nee Myers, 98, of Traverse City, peacefully passed from this life to the next on June 19, 2024 at Orchard Creek Assisted Living. Her daughters, Dona Scott Laskey and Claudia Scott Pavloff were privileged to be at her bedside.

Mary A. Moore
Mary Angeline(Hansen) Moore, 91, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2024. Mary was born September 16, 1932 in Muskegon, Michigan to Alfred and Rose(Minkel) Hansen. Mary was a devoted Catholic with unwavering faith. She was an active member of Immaculate Conception Church and Saint Francis Church; where she was a Eucharistic minister. Mary was proud to have earned her Associates Degree from Northwestern Michigan College. She had many jobs throughout her life, including the Coast Guard PX, Peninsula Asphalt and Kellogg Wholesale. She also worked weekends at the Tanz Haus as a bartender from 1972 until it closed in 1987. A woman of many talents, Mary was a member of the Sweet Adeline’s Chorus and award winning barbershop quartets. Mary loved all sports whether professional or college. Her favorite professional team was the Detroit Red Wings and she had a large collection of memorabilia. Her very favorite sporting events were whatever her 6 grandchildren were playing in any given season. She attended countless games locally and on the road. Mary was very proud of her grandchildren’s many accomplishments in life. Mary’s life is a testament to her strong spirit, dedication and zest for life. She will be missed by her family, friends and all who knew her. Mary is survived by her daughters 1932 ~ 2024

BINGHAM TOWNSHIP - Sally Martin Thompson, born on September 15, 1949, in Tokyo, Japan, peacefully passed away on May 24, 2024, at the age of 74, surrounded by her family. She is survived by her loving daughters Dawn (Tim) Coon, and Steffanie (Kenneth) Childers; daughter-in-law Beth Gottschall; grandchildren Christopher (Michelle) Coon, Elizabeth (Aric) Browning, Travis (Brett) Coon, Makenna and Charles Childers, Megan and Allie Gottschall; brother John (Debbie) Martin; brotherin- law Phillip (Carol) Thompson; sistersin- law Jeanne (Norbert) Walther, Denise (Gary) Gildner, and in-laws Cecil and Geneva Thompson.

The family moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan where Carol attended school, graduating from Pioneer High School in 1974.
