Improvements at Herman Park in Suttons Bay Township continue to be a source of controversy, as the township’s park and recreation committee is disagreeing with a contractor about the placement of a sidewalk leading to the dog park. The top candidates included Lucky Bosco, an equine; three felines – Topsy and Turvy Stephenson, running as co-Mayor, and Porsche McKee; two canines, Emmie Tomlinson and Ruby Emmert; and one caprine, Sandra Day G.O.A.T, an Angora goat. The Elmwood Township board voted 4-2 at their July 8 meeting to put a new millage proposal on the November ballot.
