To the editor: Not long after Washington was elected as our first president, the Hebrew Congregation in Newport, Rhode Island, sent him a letter of congratulations. ‘Aggressive’ Conservancy

To the editor: As long time neighbors of the Leelanau Conservancy’s expanding Palmer Woods mountain bike recreation area, we have felt the impacts of increasing high-speed traffic through our rural neighborhood. We wonder why an organization that says its goal is to protect Leelanau County by being “unrelenting in preserving her beauty and ecological integrity” has become a developer of the Conservancy’s first high-impact recreation area. 12/06/2023 05:33 PM

To the editor: One of the encouraging signs in local politics is the progress made by the bipartisan Leelanau County Commission over the past year and a half. To the editor: I read with GREAT interest the headline article “Board OK’s employee survey” in the November 16 edition of the Leelanau Enterprise.
