Woman’s group recognizes scholars
The Glen Lake Woman’s Club awarded seven college scholarships to graduating Glen Lake seniors who will attend Northwestern Michigan College (NMC) during the Glen Lake Awards Night last week. One additional student, who took a “gap” year after graduating in 2023, and two third-year students received scholarships after successfully completing their second year of college courses at NMC. 05/29/2024 05:59 PM

Farmstay talks continue in Leelanau Township
Leelanau Township Planning Commission members will move forward with considering a change to a zoning ordinance text amendment to provide for farmstays in the Agricultural Zoning District. Eaton ‘Top Gun’ in Youth Trap League
There’s an old rock ballad proclaiming that “two out of three ain’t bad,” but Glen Lake junior Alex Eaton easily topped that mark. It was kind of tough celebrating Memorial Day this year. The weather at this time year is always a crap shoot and this year it was wet and gloomy. However, I’m sure everyone had a good time with company and many, many people up here now getting ready for the summer.
