To the editor: When is the “life of a mother” in danger? How close to death does she have to be to qualify for emergency care? Whether it’s a miscarriage with complications or an ectopic pregnancy, in a restrictive state that puts fearful healthcare professionals in jeopardy the ultimate price will be paid by the woman. Taking time to explore New England

I saw the ocean again this year. Traveling by plane for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic, I went to New England. My last vacation up to this point was at a resort in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, which is nestled between the Sierra Madre mountains and the Pacific coast.
