John Almond Sheridan Sr., 86, long time resident of Leelanau County, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2024, with his loving family by his side at Maple Valley Nursing Home. To the editor: This newspaper paints a picture of our Leelanau County Board of Commissioners as an acrimonious and dysfunctional body, in part by devoting a great deal of attention to minor issues. Farmers anxious at harvest time
Harvest brings about a range of emotion for farmers including pride, gratification, contentment — and when prices for crops are low, anxiousness.
