I was sorry to hear about the passing of former Glen Lake resident Bill Post. I knew Bill quite well; his house was very near the Glen Lake Dairy Bar. He stopped in often and started a once-a-week morning prayer meeting, a great guy, and the inventor of the Pop-Tarts (which we didn’t serve). Even his license plate was ”Pop-Tart”. Bill was a real success story, he started with the company as a kid washing trucks and by the time he retired, left the company as a Vice President. Tall Ships America, a national sail training organization, recently honored Northport resident Ben Hale as the “sail trainer of the year” for 2023.
