Northport marks Memorial Day
Northport’s Memorial Day Service was relocated indoors at Northport Public School’s auditorium due to heavy rain on Monday, but despite the lastminute change of venue, the service carried on largely as planned, event organizer and Leelanau Township Supervisor Mike McMillan reported. 05/29/2024 05:59 PM

Former Elmwood Township Supervisor Jack Kelly filed a complaint at the 13th Circuit Court on May 10. GTB chairwoman, council take oath of office
With the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians (GTB) 2024 general election results officially wrapped up and certified, the tribe welcomed its new chairwoman, Sandra Witherspoon, at its swearing-in ceremony on Friday at the Leelanau Sands Showroom in Peshawbestown.
