Downtown Northport bathroom project approved

Residents and visitors in the village of Northport will soon have a new portable public restroom option to utilize in the downtown area starting as soon as this month. The Leelanau County Road Commission this week heeded the call of constituents who urged them to “litigate, don’t mediate” a dispute over Lake Michigan shoreline access at the end of Reynolds Street in Leland.
