With thrilling goals and surprising upsets, the Lakers, Comets, and Norse demonstrated their soccer skills against all opponents. Lakers fall in regional semifinal
Glen Lake baseball lost in heartbreaking fashion against Muskegon Western Michigan Christian 7-0 in an extra-inning thriller on Saturday during a regional final baseball game. The Lakers and WMC was going 1-0 into the top of the seventh, before errors open the floodgates, and within a few minutes, the score raced to 7-0 quickly. 06/12/2024 05:52 PM

Eagles stun Bears to win fourth district in-a-row
Lake Leelanau St. Mary softball went into Friday’s MHSAA Div. 4 softball tournament Friday as an underdog, facing the No. 1-seed Buckley Bears in the district semifinal. Despite the odds, the Eagles came out victorious to win its fourth district championship in a row 4-2. 06/05/2024 08:28 PM

Elks down Comets in final
Leland fell to Elk Rapids in the district championship 5-1 on Thursday. The Elks 3-peat as district champions. Leland had trouble capitalizing on opportunities while the Elks got out to a quick 3-0 lead 10 minutes into the second half. Comet freshman Lillian Connor broke the Elk Rapids shutout with a dashing goal past the goalkeeper and falling into the net. Leland ended their season 16-3-2 and undefeated (10-0) in the Northwest Conference. 06/05/2024 08:28 PM
