The Leelanau peninsula is known for its beauty, from the waters that surround it and the orchards that produce fruit, to the farms that grow vegetables and flowers that so many people enjoy. County youth celebrate life on the farm
One of the state’s largest fairs, the Northwestern Michigan Fair, concluded in Traverse City Saturday. Dune Dash set for Saturday
A ‘Dune Dash’ 4-mile run/ walk along the Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail will take place on Saturday at 9 a.m., presented by the Traverse Area Recreation and Transportation (TART) Trails, Inc. Omena’s newest animal mayor in town is just a bit larger from the usual dog or cat candidates that run in the race.
