Hunting tradition unifying force

To the editor: On behalf of the Empire Area Community Center I would like to thank everyone who brought their “trunks” down to Front Street in Empire on Halloween! It was a great show of togetherness and good will with everyone having a wonderful time in support of our children in the Village and surrounding areas. Also, a big Thanks goes to the Empire Methodist Church for supplying free hot dogs, sliders and chips for everyone and to the Glen Lake Women’s Club for their great bags of treats! To the editor: Board Chair Ty Wessell, bypassed all three female Democrat commissioners and overlooked the most experienced commission, Melinda Lautner, a woman, in order to nominate the least experienced commissioner, Doug Rexroat, to be Vice Chair, a man who didn’t event vote for himself.
