To the editor: A writer suggests “Biden is a man who wakes up every day trying to do the right thing for the American people.” The only accurate part of this is “wakes up.” Since Biden took office, fuel prices skyrocketed, food costs soared, and American families are struggling to survive. To the editor: The headline article “Patriot group gets on agenda” (02/02/24) was misleading and disappointing. In my opinion it was written with a clear bias couched in “argumentum ad hominem.” This term usually is used to refer to a rhetorical strategy in which the writer unfavorably portrays a character, motive, or other attribute of the individual(s) making the argument, rather than addressing the argument itself. 02/07/2024 05:13 PM
