Faith and confidence
To the editor: A call was given to Leelanau’s BOC at Tuesday’s meeting to reassure a resident that they firmly believed in the election system and process the Clerk has chosen to use locally is trustworthy. Concerns were shared with the BOC over the past year by numerous local individuals.

Board adopts consent agenda
The Leelanau County Board of Commissioners approved the following items as part of their consent agenda at their Oct. 8 annual meeting: • Accepted a $1,000 Michigan Municipal Risk Management Authority grant to be used to offset the cost of purchasing a safety restraint chair for the Leelanau County Sheriff’s Office.
