Rowing Club premier ‘The Boys in the Boat’ at the Bay
Area rowing clubs are sprinting to the Bay Theatre in Suttons Bay for a showing of 'The Boys In The Boat' on Monday and Wednesday of next week. Lake Leelanau Rowing Club (LLRC) and Northern Michigan Rowing (NMRC) clubs are trying to harness interest in rowing while showing ‘The Boys In The Boat’ by director George Clooney which was released on December 25. 01/10/2024 03:45 PM

Muldowney 51 years officiating
When Mike Muldowney arrives on the basketball court it’s all business for the referee that’s been calling local sporting events on all levels for over 50 years. Muldowney started refereeing at the age of 19, and basketball quickly became his favorite sport to call. 01/03/2024 07:41 PM

Every high school coaches’ hope is to instill a love of the game of volleyball, according to Leland coach Laurie Glass. “Whether it’s informally playing in your backyard, later in life, joining a co-ed team, doing beach volleyball or playing at the collegiate level (the hope) is just continuing that love of the game and keeping it in your life,” Glass said. 12/27/2023 04:58 PM

The Glen Lake cooperative ski team is back for another year, ready to race down the hill and compete throughout 2024.
