To the editor: I attended last Thursday’s Leelanau League of Women Voter’s candidate forum. After hearing the candidates, it became indubitably obvious to the most casual observer that Tim O’Non is the only qualified candidate for drain commissioner.

Glen Lake housing effort could be viable
The door is cracked open and shining light on the complex affordable housing crisis. Glen Lake Community Schools owns a forested 180acre property on Benzonia Trail in southern Empire Township, which the school district inherited when Empire, Maple City, Glen Arbor schools consolidated in 1955.

To the editor: A call was given to Leelanau’s BOC at Tuesday’s meeting to reassure a resident that they firmly believed in the election system and process the Clerk has chosen to use locally is trustworthy. Concerns were shared with the BOC over the past year by numerous local individuals.
