Vibrant community
To the editor: Labor Day bridge walks in Leland and Lake Leelanau were as encouraging as they were inspiring, both radiating a refreshing unity of spirit and effort. Lake Leelanau’s organizers raised funds for community improvements and events, while Leland’s parade-like atmosphere, led by our local VFW, provided a cheerful, patriotic energy. 09/04/2024 03:50 PM

To the editor: Of all the issues facing voters in Centerville and Leland Townships this November none seem more important than restoring civil discourse and public trust in local government. To the editor: What would it be like if legislators who voted against national relief and infrastructure bills received zero money? I am looking at you Jack Bergman. What if there was no relief for those who live in district #1 because of your no votes? Businesses and families would have gotten no relief. 08/28/2024 10:35 PM

To the editor: Most parents want their children to be kind, honest, truthful, and respectful adults. But what values are the young ones learning from signs in their yards promoting a person who is a bully, a liar, a crook, and revengeful; calls people derogatory names, commits adultery, and is abusive towards women?
