1,000+ cast early votes in county
A relatively small number of people took advantage of early in-person voting for the primaries in Leelanau County, but it’s proven to be a hugely popular way to vote in the general election. Rosemary (“Rose”) Ralls, of Glen Arbor, Michigan, died peacefully on October 1, 2024, at her second home in Rio Verde, Arizona. Many of the family’s most cherished memories of Rose are the fun and hijinks they had with her climbing the Sleeping Bear Dunes, lighting sparklers on the 4th of July, watching sunsets over Lake Michigan, and eating cheeseburgers and ice cream in Leelanau County.
